Reached 10,000 mini excavators produced in Italy
IHIMER S.p.A. (a joint-venture of IHI Construction Machinery <IK> and Imer International) has reached the production of 10,000 mini excavators and the ceremony took place on the 30th of October 2006 at IHIMER's office in Cusona, Italy to celebrate its achievement. The participants from IK were Mr. Masao Nitanda, President, Mr.Hiroo Nose, Director, and Mr. Akira Nakano, General Manager of International Division. Mr. Yutaka Yoneda, President and Ms. Claudia Bencini, Vice President of IHIMER, as well as Mr.Silvano Bencini, President of Imer International participated in the ceremony. They confirmed the commitment to expand our sales in European markets. IHIMER started the local production in 1989 by our technical collaboration. The production number reached 5,000 units in 1999 and 10,000 units in 2006. The market volume would go over 50,000 units a year for mini excavators, which is huge and very important for both of us. We try to tighten our cooperation to make our presence higher in Europe.
